This is my teams moodboard for our MV. This blogpost is made by me (Rara)
MOODBOARD by chelsea tirta For this moodboard we all decided to put our own spin towards the MV by having separate moodboard's which align with different scenes. As we have 4:
- 1st slide: is dedicated to our artists main colour theme which is red and having her black outfits be the highlight of the ending narrative of our MV
- 2nd slide: we have a more soft girl aesthetic which we will incorporate for our first few mins into the MV as our whole narrative come from our artist being a soft girl -> a player
- 3rd slide: this is what we want most of our locations to be more during the night time to showcase how shes about to go out and have fun and live her life (such as getting ready, going to a cinema, getting into a car, etc)
- 4th slide: showcasing her 2 personas 'soft girl' & 'stargirl' which shows how pure she is until it all turned sour
Self Reflection: Overall, me and my team had a fun time doing this task as we got to look for different inspirations (Pinterest, Google, Instagram, and music video references). And since we all had our own thoughts and ideas, we combined them all in one file in a website called Canva in order for us to have a clear direction on how we want our music video to look visually so that throughout our music video it has a consistent aesthetic and style. Our music video will be centered on a party-oriented aesthetic, hints of girlhood, and romantic relationships. Having our color palette mostly be dark red, black, and white, which will be shown through our artists wardrobes and makeup, set design, and time of day within the scene. Even though it was easy to come up with a few multiple moodboards, we all initially had different ideas, meaning that most of our ideas clashed, so in the end we ended up using each of our own ideas in different scenes, as our MV will have a strong narrative, and to keep the audience engaged we need multiple ideas, and initially we wanted to use full red and neon colors, but we figured out that wasn't the best option due to us needing to film those scenes mostly in a studio, which doesn't give the realistic vibe we're also trying to go for.
